Following the success of Totton College photography workshops held for local students in February 2019, Art and Photography students from Applemore College will take part in various photography workshops during 2019.

Schools throughout the country often find access to photographic darkrooms difficult due to a lack of availability. In response to this issue, Totton College is providing workshops for local school students to access specialist photographic darkrooms and equipment available onsite.

During the workshops, local students were taught various techniques to develop photographs and artwork to boost their creative development and aid preparations for creative GCSE subjects.

Hannah Avoth, Totton College Vice Principal, said:
“We are delighted to host further sessions for local students to support their creative learning and development as they work towards completing their Art GSCE. We warmly encourage more local schools to get in touch to take advantage of our excellent facilities.”

Alisha Tarrant, Teaching Support Staff at Applemore College, said:
“Students thoroughly enjoyed the Totton College workshops which equipped them with techniques that will enrich their GCSE Art learning and development.”
