We want our learners to achieve independence and the skills they need for the career they aspire to have. That is why our courses are designed with employability in mind, teaching life skills in the context of the working environment.

Why choose Totton College for Pathways?

The Pathways department offer a progression of courses from Entry Level 3 to Level 2. The focus of these courses is to give learners valuable work and life skills; learners will develop areas such as communication and social skills, household skills such as food preparation and money management, as well as transferable skills for employment or further education in a vocational programme. Alongside this programme, learners typically study English and maths. The aim is for learners to progress on to paid employment, a Supported Internship, an apprenticeship, or a vocational course within further education. All learners will work with the college staff team to gain valuable work experience in an environment that is suitable for their individual needs.
