We want our learners to achieve independence and the skills they need for the career they aspire to have. That is why our courses are designed with employability in mind, teaching life skills in the context of the working environment.

Junctions: Level 1 & Level 2 Programme

This programme is aimed at a learners, who have high functioning autism and those that have anxiety. It is mainly a very calming classroom due to the nature of our students.

Our main purpose is to build their confidence and self-esteem through a variety of units across Level 1 and Level 2. It is a three-year programme if the learner wishes to remain in Junctions for 3 years, working their way up through the levels of the progression units we work towards. All learners will have to work towards Maths and English (unless exempt) and also one of our sessions cover Work Experience Skills, these are just some of the units we are currently working towards:

  • Building Confidence & Self Esteem
  • Engaging in Discussion
  • Writing to Communicate
  • Taking Part in an Activity
  • Making the most of a work placement (yr 2 & 3)
  • Searching for a Job (Yr 2 & 3)

Junctions 50/50

This programme offers the chance for learners to remain under the umbrella of Junctions if they feel they are not quite ready for full time mainstream,  the can participate in one of the following programmes:

  • Health and Social Care
  • Media
  • Art

Learners will complete Maths and English with their Junctions group but attend mainstream for the programme of their choice.

What can I do next?

With your qualification, you can take a related course at a higher level or apply for a work placement in a related work area.
