During my course, I’ve learned how important it is to make clients feel comfortable, which has helped me improve my communication skills and ensure they’re happy with their treatment. I’ve also gained hands-on experience using hairdressing tools for washing, cutting and styling hair. I enjoy working with clients and finding it rewarding when they leave happy with their hair. My proudest achievement at Totton College was earning a distinction in my Level 2 Health and Social Care course, which boosted my confidence and motivation. My advice to new students joining Totton College is to be open to new ideas and be confident in yourself. After college, I hope to become a childcare worker, using the skills I’ve developed in communication and creativity.
