Totton College is proud to announce that we are the sole sponsor of the metal Christmas tree sculptures, which will be on display at the 2018 Totton Lantern Parade.

For this year’s Totton Lantern Parade, Totton College has sponsored twelve metal Christmas tree sculptures, representing the 12 days of Christmas. The display will be placed in the garden area along the main concourse between the market and community centre. Members of the public will be able to see the display as part of the festivities happening on the day.

The Totton Lantern Parade is an annual family event, celebrating the Totton community spirit and encouraging local schools to participate by handcrafting their very own lanterns. A precession will run through the heart of the town, where visitors and participants will be able to see all the highlights from in and round Totton, including the switching-on of the Christmas tree lights. The event will also feature a selection of stalls with refreshments, a range of activities and entertainment, arts and crafts, as well as gifts for the festive season.

Totton College’s Principle Dr Maxine Room CBE, said: “We are proud to be part of the Totton community and this year’s Lantern Parade. The event is a spectacle to behold and we are looking forward to seeing the handcrafted lanterns made by the local school children.”

This year’s parade will be held on Sunday 2 December 2018, with the procession gathering from 4.30pm. Visitors are encouraged to visit the stalls, fair and enjoy the local entertainment from 2pm onwards.
