Old Favourites with a Splash of Something New
The new season at Hanger Farm brings a whole host of old favourites, a splash of something new and always something for everyone. CATS return for their annual panto fest, this year we welcome Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves into the barn for more high jinx at the end of January and the beginning of February.
Half Term brings activities for young people to keep them occupied! On Saturday 13 February become a smuggler, highwayman, farmer, lord or lady in our fabulous Play in a Day – Moonrakers! There’s more on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 February when you can get arty and crafty, make and create. Think Big – Think Art! Make large animal sculptures during this two day workshop and create a virtual farm at Hanger Farm!
The ever popular Comedy Barn returns on Friday 26 February headlined by the wonderful Paul Foot with Patrick Monahan. Paul’s eclectic and eccentric comedy led him to found The Guild of Paul Foot Connoisseurs. Patrick Monahan started off on the glamorous Irish/Iranian/Geordie stand-up circuit where he developed his chatty and friendly story telling style.
To end February we have the climax of an exciting project in partnership with Abbotswood School, Totton and the New Forest Small School. Over sixty pupils have spent ten weeks learning songs that tell the story of Hanger Farm in their performance of Worth One Pig! This will be the first time that the children from both schools meet and form one huge choir for this delightful vocal explosion! Written and composed by Fiona Moore, the performance will be supported by acapella quartet Delicious Soundbites. We hope to see you soon!
