Disabled Access

Accessibility

Hanger Farm Arts Centre staff welcome all people with disabilities. They will do their best to help you and to make your contact with the arts centre successful.

The building is fully accessible, with level access throughout the foyer, gallery, main auditorium and performance space.

Where there are stairs, connecting the backstage and dressing room areas to the main stage, a wheelchair lift is available for use. Staff will operate this for you if requested.

Toilet Facilities

There is a disabled toilet available. This is situated between the auditorium and the main entrance and also provides modest baby care facilities.

Ticket Booking

A concessionary charge is available on all tickets purchased for individuals in receipt of a Disability Living Allowance (DLA). To receive your discount, please inform Box Office staff when making your booking.

For all individuals requiring an essential carer no additional ticket charge shall be made.

At present, seats for all performances are unnumbered and unreserved. If you have special seating requirements, please notify the centre when booking and seats will be reserved for you. Reserved seats are situated in the front rows near the doors of the auditorium.

Hearing Impaired People

The main auditorium does not have an induction loop. An infra red loop is available however for use. Please ask when booking if you think it may be helpful to use this facility.

Visually Impaired People

It is possible, one hour before the performance, to receive a tour of the stage. This is an opportunity for you to explore the set and the layout of the scenery. If you would like to receive one of these tours, please notify the Box Office when booking.

Guide and assistance dogs are welcome. Water can be provided for them if requested.

Large print brochures are available on request from the Box Office.

Parking

Parking spaces for blue badge holders are available at the front of the arts centre.

Hanger Farm Arts Centre endeavours to meet all special requirements. If there are any elements that you feel could reasonably be improved, please let us know.
