Brilliant Business
Mark Bramwell Principal of Totton College recently presented an award at the New Forest Business Partnership Brilliance in Business presentation evening held at Careys Manor. Mark and the Hon Ralph Montague who was also in attendance congratulated Paul Mincham and Charlotte Lowcock of Double H Nurseries for their business’s achievement.
Double H won the award for Training and Development, which is sponsored by Totton College. They were able to demonstrate clear and tangible business benefits from their Training and Development programme for the last year. Mark Bramwell was impressed by the cost/benefit analysis the company carries out as a part of their overall evaluation of training. "This is an excellent example of how a company can justify spending money on training through a planned approach to people development" said Mark.
Paul Mincham said ‘that involving all staff in the training process led to greater ownership by people in the business and a reduction in 12000 hours per year’.
