Brilliance in Business
The New Forest Business Partnership held its first awards evening for 'Brilliance in Business' at the Rhinefield House Hotel on Tuesday, 28 November 2006. Mark Bramwell, Totton College Principal, in his speech to the awards evening, with 120 guests from Business, congratulated the New Forest Business Partnership for its work in spreading good practice. He also emphasised how important it was for Totton College to continue to meet the workforce development needs of local employers in order for the College to continue to be successful itself.
In order to be considered for the Totton College sponsored award for Training and Development companies had to show outstanding opportunities for its staff in training and development. For the company to win the award it had to demonstrate the impact of this investment in its people on the success of the company.
The three short listed companies for the award were:
- Beaulieu Enterprises Limited
- Churchill Retirement Living
- Freight Broker Services Limited
Churchill Retirement Living were the eventual winners. They are listed in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for. The company have introduced a wide range of training and development programmes throughout the organisation.
