Partnership Celebration between NHS and Totton College

Totton College and Southampton NHS will be celebrating their new partnership on Tuesday 3 February 2004 at our Services to Business Training Centre at Wade Park, Ower, where Totton College will be providing tuition and support to Southampton NHS staff, enabling them to achieve the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) qualification.

The ECDL (also known as BCS level 1 and 2 Certificate for IT Users) is an internationally recognised computer qualification and is regarded as the most popular way of upgrading IT skills. Totton College's Services to Business will be supporting the following Primary Care Trust's: New Forest PCT; Southampton City PCT; Eastleigh & Test Valley South PCT; West Hampshire NHS Trust and Hampshire & IOW Strategic Health Authority. Services to Business' aim is to make the course more accessible and user-friendly by allowing learners to complete this IT qualification using their specially designed NHS Portal software. They are also offering others methods of learning and testing to give the NHS staff maximum flexibility.
