Teacher

Qualified Teacher Salary Range £21,098 - £30,879
Profession Standards Payment Range £33,454 - £36,009 (for suitable applicants)
Totton College, supported by Hampshire County Council and the Young People's Learning Agency, are launching a new provision for students who are at the more able end of the Autistic Spectrum. The students will be based locally and we will be developing their life, independence and social skills, working towards accessing courses from our main site at the end of their first year. We therefore have this vacancy for when we plan to open during the Autumn.
The qualified Teacher must have previous experience of working with students who are on the Autistic Continuum, and experience of associated mental health issues would be desirable. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as is good communication skills.

Teaching Assistants
(up to full-time/term-time)

£13,224 - £13,668 Depending on qualifications and experience

Maintenance/Decorator
(21.5 hours per week/full-year)
Closing Date: 6th August 2010
Salary up to £16,045 pro-rata dependant on experience
We require someone who has experience of reactive maintenance, to include plumbing, carpentry and decorating to assist in a comprehensive decorating programme. A sound knowledge of refurbishment would be an advantage.

I have visited schools in my role as a student Ambassador, and the Pathways to Law programme saw me go to Guildford College. I have also visited Itchen College as a part of Critical Thinking.
After completing college I would like to go on to Southampton University to study Law and then pursue a career as a Solicitor.
Totton College has a friendly environment with lots of support, both from teachers, tutors and Student Services. Tutors are always willing to help you with things you don't understand and are very supportive.
