The Award is a knowledge based qualification suitable for all roles in schools, including teaching assistants, midday supervisors, site staff, administrators etc. The Certificate covers the skills and knowledge needed to be a competent teaching assistant.

Course Aims
* To develop the knowledge and understanding of all those working in a school setting
* To understand safeguarding children

What are the entry requirements?
Minimum of a half day a week in a school either as a volunteer or employed.
Qualification is for working with children aged 3-19
How is the course assessed?
Portfolio of work, no exam
