Summary
This course allows students to develop the skills needed to maintain routine accounting records using the SAGE LINE 50 software.
About the Course
The software used is SAGE but the course is not concerned with informing students about the details of this package in particular. It is concerned however with the input and recording of data and the generation of simple reports such as transactions, analysis, trial balance, and those relating to the sales ledger and the purchase ledger.
It should be stressed that this is a City & Guilds qualification
Course Aims
The course is aimed at those seeking a formal qualification in this particular field of IT for employment or those wishing to know how to maintain a computerised system of accounts for their own business.
What are the entry requirements?
It is IMPORTANT that participants have a basic knowledge of book-keeping eg trial balance, sales and purchase ledgers etc.
A formal qualification is not essential.
How is the course assessed?
An examination of 1 hour.
