Spanish - Beginners (Term Two)

Summary

This course will enable you to speak and understand the language at a basic level. The emphasis will be on communication.

About the Course

You will learn how to cope in certain basic situations such as talking about yourself, buying a drink and snack, shopping for food, ordering a meal and asking for directions. There will be plenty of speaking and listening activities together with opportunities to find out more about the culture of the countries whose language you are learning.

Course Aims

To equip you to cope in certain basic situations when on a visit abroad. To enable you to welcome a foreign visitor. To learn more about the countries where the language is spoken.

What are the entry requirements?

No previous knowledge is expected.

How is the course assessed?

There is no external assessment. A Totton College certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the course.

Are there any resources to obtain?

You will need to buy a textbook once the course has started. Details will be given at the first class.
