Spanish - Advanced (Term One)

Summary

This course will enable you to hold conversations in which you will be able to express and develop your opinion about a range of subjects. There will be more study of grammar than in previous years.

About the Course

You will listen to and read a range of texts on social, moral and political issues. You will learn how to say and write what you think about them. You will also study a film in the language that you are learning.

Course Aims

To equip you to discuss and write about a wide range of topical subjects. To learn more about these subjects as they are reflected in the daily life of the countries whose language you are studying.

What are the entry requirements?

You should have completed 4 years of learning the language or achieved an AS level or its equivalent.

How is the course assessed?

There is no external assessment. A Totton College certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the course. If you have an AS qualification you will be able to take the A2 exam but this will not be compulsory and it will mean payment of an exam fee.

Are there any resources to obtain?

You will need to buy a textbook once the course has started. Details will be given at the first class.

An exam fee if you decide to take the A2 exam.
