Spanish - Year 2 (Term One)

Summary

This course will enable you to develop your knowledge beyond a basic level. The emphasis will be on communication.

About the Course

You will learn the language needed for travelling, booking accommodation and reporting simple medical problems. You will start to learn how to talk and write in the past, present and future. There will be plenty of speaking and listening activities together with opportunities to find out more about the culture of the country whose language you are learning.

Course Aims

To equip you to cope in a range of situations when on a visit abroad. To enable to to welcome a foreign visitor. To learn more about the countries where the languages is spoken.

What are the entry requirements?

You should have completed a Beginners course and be able to cope in certain basic situations such as talking about yourself, buying a drink and snack, shopping for food, ordering a meal and asking for directions.

How is the course assessed?

There is no external assessment. A Totton College certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the course.

Are there any resources to obtain?

You will need to buy a textbook once the course has started. Details will be given at the first class.
